摘要:
A new, flat-angle centrifuge head system has been designed to fit a conventional table-top centrifuge. The rotor accommodates two major units: one for membrane filtration of human serum in the 20-1,000 micro-liter range and another for elution of human whole blood or urinary amino acids from filter paper discs. The samples can be processed in less than 15 minutes with the use of disposable accessories. The protein-free ultrafiltrates or the eluates from filter paper discs can be used for chromatography of amino acids.

摘要:
The stability and ease of formation of some neutral salicylaldimine transition metal complexes has suggested that they may be gas chromatographed and find analytical applications. Thermal an of some bidentate Ni(II), Cu(II) and Zn(II) salicylaldimine comp has shown them to be thermally stable and volatile. Observations the gas chromatographic separation of some of these chelates is described, their favorable properties allow elution from glass a stainless steel columns with minimal decomposition under favorable conditions.

A spectrophotometric method for the determination of copper has been developed based on the development of a red color in acidic solution using dithiooxamide as the chromogenic agent. The molar absorptivity is 7.04 × 1031. mol−1cm−1at 525 nm. Relatively few ions interfere.

摘要:
A new photometric method is described for the determination of microgram amounts of Rh(III), based on the formation of a ternary complex of the metal, eriochromcyanine R and cetylpyridinium bromide in an acetate buffer medium (pH = 3.2 - 3.6) with an absorption maximum at 600 nm. The system obeys the Lambert-Beer law for 0. 2 - 3. 2 ppm Rh(III). The mean relative standard deviation is 0. 66%, the molar absorptivity at 630 nm, the wavelength of the maximum difference between the ternary 4 solution and a solution of the reagents, is 1.2 × 104and the detection limit of the method is 7.8 μg. cm−2for A = 0. 001.

摘要:
An automated system for the determination of arsenic, selenium, antimony, bismuth and tin is described. These elements and their compounds are reduced with sodium borohydride to the corresponding hydride. Sensitivity of the automated system is comparable and in most cases better than the manual technique. The automated method was found superior to the manual with respect to reproducibility and ease of operation.

摘要:
Hexachloroantimonate(V) and tetrachlorothallate(III) salts of Sevron Red L (C.I. Basic Red 17), Sevron Red GL (C.I. 11,085), Flavinduline O (C.I. 50,000) and Phenazinduline O have been applied in liquid-state ion-selective electrodes for the determination of antimony and thallium. The slope of potential versus pM graphs approach full Nernstian response in the range 10 M (Sb) and 10−6M (T1) to 10−2M. An unusual feature of the electrodes is their response to antimony(III) as well as to antimony(V).
