摘要:
The n,π complexes of s-trinitrobenzene (TNB) and the tetraalkylammonium halides have been studied from the analytical point of view in nonaqueous solvents. Mixtures of tetraalkylammonium chlorides and TNB give little evidence of charge transfer spectra in the visible region, but both the corresponding bromides and iodides form colored complexes with TNB. Proton donors are poor solvents, but acetonitrile, methylene chloride, and chloroform are useful for analytical work. Using excess TNB, plots of absorbance at 410, 415 or 425 mü versus concentration of the bromides are linear and can be used for analysis.

摘要:
A visible spectrophotometric method is described for the determination of palladium with 2,2′-pyridilmonoxime. The effects due to pH, time, solvents, reagent concentration and diverse ions are reported. Reasonable structures for the reagent and palladium chelate based on analysis and infrared evidence are proposed.

摘要:
Indole amines and indole alcohols were converted to heptafluoro-butyryl (HFB) derivatives by an acyl transfer reaction with heptafluoro-butyrylimidazole. The indole NH group as well as all amino and hydroxyl groups were acylated. The HFB derivatives have excellent gas chroma-tographic properties and can be used with either hydrogen flame or electron capture detection systems. Mass spectra of the HFB derivatives of biologic N, N-dialkyl indole amines are very characteristic; these compounds can be identified easily by GLC-MS methods.

摘要:
It has been demonstrated that copper (II) is an attractive amperometric indicator for the titration of small amounts of thorium in solution. EDTA was used as the titrant. Best results are obtained in the titration when the mole ratio of thorium to copper is high. The method should be applicable to several other metal ions that form more stable EDTA complexes than does copper.

Deuterium oxide was determined in synthetic mixtures of 70–100 % D2O and 90–100 % D2O by NMR spectroscopy with a Varian A-60 NMR spectrometer using peak heights and areas. The standard deviation for the best results was 0.4 % D2O.

摘要:
A direct and simple method for arsenic in organic compounds involves merely dissolution of the sample in an organic solvent, such as benzene, cyclohexane, or methyl isobutyl ketone, and direct aspiration into a fuel-rich acetylene-oxygen flame. The arsenic line at 2350 Å is used; the detection limit is 2.2 ü/ml. From iron and copper matrices arsenic is isolated by extraction from a solution 9 M in HCI and 0.25 M in KI with benzene.

摘要:
A rapid method for the determination of 7-iodo-8-quinolinol in Chiniofon has been suggested. Samples of the material are dissolved in a pH 9 buffer containing Mg(NO3)2and aliquots of this solution are titrated with CuSO4solution in the dark, under an ultraviolet lamp. The disappearance of fluorescence indicates the end-point of the reaction.
