摘要:
A rapid, specific and sensitive reversed-phase liquid chromatographic (LC) assay for the quantitative determination of indomethacin in serum without extraction was developed. Chromatographic separation using flunixin meglumine as the internal standard was achieved on octadecylsilane-coated particles with a mobile phase of 0.15 M acetate buffer pH 3.0 (50% v/v), acetonitrile (30% v/v) and methanol (20% v/v). The recovery of indomethacin from serum samples in the concentration range of 0.1-25 μg/ml was 95.5 ± 5.8% and as little as 100 ng/ml of indomethacin in serum samples can be quantitated by this procedure. A serum level versus time profile of dog with intravenously administered indomethacin demonstrated the applicability of the assay.

摘要:
A new sensitive method for rapid and accurate determination of benzocaine via hydroxamic acid formation is described. The solution of hydroxylamine hydrochloride is reacted with benzocaine in alkaline medium to give corresponding hydroxamic acid (II) which forms the purple coloured complex with FeCl3in acidic medium, having a maximum absorbance at 530 nm. The commonly present additives such as Tyrothricin, Propylene glycol, Glycerin do not show any interference except Quiniodochlor whose interference was eliminated by extracting it with alcohol and removal of waxy substances with a mixture of water and HCL (17.5 :2.5).

摘要:
Fluorescent metabolites of cancer cells have been studied using video-fluorometry and high pressure liquid chromatography. A distinction between the cancerous and non-cancerous cells studied has been made based on the two dimensional fluorescent spectra of growth media supernatants. The flurophore responsible for the distinct spectral properties has been tentatively identified as pterin-6-carboxylic acid based on chromatographic retention data.

摘要:
A comparison of liquid chromatography with electrochemical detection (LCEC) and gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GCMS) has been made for analysis of homovanillic acid (HVA) in rat brain tissue. The LCEC procedure gave slightly higher average values of HVA in the samples measured; however, the HVA content determined by both methods related significantly. Rat brain meostriatum was used as representative samples for comparison of the two analytical procedures.

摘要:
A conductimetric method has been applied to measure lipase activity. When using triacetin as a substrate, a linear relationship between initial rate and enzyme concentration is demonstrated up to 600 U in the cell (4 ml). Kinetic parameters of triacetin hydrolysis have been derived from conductimetric data, in the concentration range of solubility of the substrate. The limiting parameters (temperature, choice of buffer, substrate) are discussed in the last part.
