The mathematics programme for Israeli technicians and practical engineers of electronics, electricity and control systems was examined in the light of their mathematical needs both while in college and on the job. Of particular interest to the investigators were:arabicthe influence of technical advances such as the computer on the mathematics employed by technicians and practical engineers in industry.arabicchanges in the mathematics curriculum at the colleges of technology as a result of increasing technological sophistication of local industry and the spread of hand calculators.

In the present paper we investigate a few grammatical aspects of texts in which a reasoning has been expressed. We are mainly interested in text units (called sentences) that are constituent parts of a reasoning.
