AbstractA formula is given for the energy and momentum conservation laws for a narrow spectrum of electromagnetic waves in an unstable dispersive and dissipative medium by any level of dissipation and on condition that the amplitude and phase change slowly in the time and space period of oscillations. It is shown that the density of energy and momentum of the motion of resonant particles, connected with the propagation of the electromagnetic wave, generally cannot be expressed by the dielectric function of the unstable system. AbstractWithin the framework of the special relativity, the system of reference comoving with Alfvén wave is defined and the form of the perturbations with respect to this system are deduced. The system of equations corresponding to the interaction of the waves, in the case when the relativistic Alfvén wave can generate new Alfvén waves and magnetosonic waves, is obtained in the most general form.In the one‐dimensional case the time dependent perturbation method is used for obtain the dispersion equation for the relativistic coupled waves (decay processes). Finally, by solving numerically the dimensionless dispersion equation, the instability domains of the Alfvén waves are obtained. AbstractEs werden radiale Temperatur‐ und Geschwindigkeitsverteilungen an einen eingeschlossenen turbulenten Plasmastrahl mit Thermoelement‐ und Drucksonden gemessen. Durch iterative Korrekturberechnungen werden neben den Temperatur‐ und Geschwindigkeitsfeldern auch die Felder verschiedener thermodynamischer Funktionen bestimmt. Das Verhalten des Plasmastrahls unterscheidet sich grundsätzlich nicht von den der Gasstrahlen und Flammen.Infolge der Masseneintragung aus der Umgebung divergiert der Strahl und klingt sehr schnell ab.Die aus Gründen der Massenerhaltung an der Behälterwand entlang verlaufende Rückströmung wird abgeschätzt. AbstractThe rotational distribution of the OO‐band of the second positive system of N2was determined by the Ornstein method in the glow discharge of an argon‐nitrogen mixture at medium pressure. Evidently, for the rotationalR‐ andP‐lines some straight lines can be fitted for rotational quantum numbers between 2 and 60 according to usual representation. The slopes of the curves indicate that the Boltzmann distribution does not exist for all the levels. For each of these straight lines can be declared a value of rotational temperature. The dependence of the several rotational temperatures on the discharge current is essential lower than the corresponding dependence of the gas temperature, which is calculated by means of the energy balance. The influence of the energy transfer from metastable argon atoms to ground‐state nitrogen molecules on the rotational distribution seems to be insignificant. AbstractEs wurden Messungen des axialen Druckes in Niederdruck‐Hochstromentladungen durchgeführt. Es konnte gezeigt werden, daß der axiale Druck im Entladungsrohr hauptsächlich durch dir Größe des Kathodenraumes oder des Anodenraumes bestimmt wird und nicht durch Entladungsstrom und Fülldruck. AbstractAc plasma displays make use of medium pressure ac discharges in Penning mixtures between insulated electrodes. Discharges in Ne + 1% N2with glazed electrodes are a suitable experimental model showing the characteristic pulse and continous discharge modes. The axial optical space time structure of sinus wave sustained model discharges are measured with a scanning device, obtaining characteristic phases of discharge formation. Application of luminous flux method for stationary and dynamic Townsend discharges yields the first Townsend ionization coefficient α, and the comparison of the optical structure of ac discharges with that of dc discharges allows to explain the axial structure and to estimate the space charge effects

AbstractIn einer durch eine 50 Hz, 10 bzw. 20 kV‐Wechselspannung betriebenen stillen elektrischen Entladung vom Barrieren‐Typ wurde bei Drücken von 3,32–9,96 × 104Pa Methan plasmachemisch in einfache Kohlenwasserstoffe umgesetzt. Als gasförmige Hauptprodukte wurden Äthan und Propan identifiziert, wogegen Buten, Azetylen, Äthylen und Propylen in deutlich niedrigeren Konzentrationen auftraten. Der Methan‐Zerfall in Abhängigkeit von der Entladungszeit entspricht bis zu 1000 s streng einer Exponentialfunktion. Die Bildung der Alkane, insbesondere des Äthans, verläuft nach dem Schema einer Folgereaktion; sie läßt sich kinetisch gut durch eine Geschwindigkeitsgleichung 1. Or
