摘要:
Neoichnological studies of the downdrift coastal Ganges deltaic region (Ganges Delta Complex) indicate the nature and environmental zonation of the lebensspuren of common endobenthic invertebrates dominated by the brachyuran amphibious crab Family Ocypodidae(Ocypodespp.,Ilyaplax pusillusandUca marionis)and are utilized to interpret analogous trace fossils and paleoshoreline environments. The polycha‐eteDiopatra cuprea, the gastropodsTurritellaspp.,Tele‐scopium telescopiumandCerithidea obtusum, some bivalves and the boring crabCharybdis rostrataalso produce diagnostic lebensspuren.

摘要:
Corimbatichnus fernandezi n.igen, n. isp.is a cluster of fossil bee cells from the Uruguayan Late Cretaceous‐early Tertiary Asencio Formation. It is composed of rows of small excavated cells contained in paleosol peds. Cells have inner surfaces somewhat rough and are closed with loose material. Separation among cells is very thin, and the cells are orientated uniformly, showing a great economy of space as in some halictine constructions.Corimbatichnuscan be distinguished fromRosellichnusandUruguayby its convex face, excavated cells and the spatial arrangement of them.

摘要:
Fluidization, a special case of liquefaction, is a physical process occurring in unconsolidated, water‐saturated, sediments that can be verified in insect constructions in soils. Behavioral analysis of the beesPtilothrix relataandDiadasina distinctashows that the fine‐grained material of the soil pellets, utilized to construct the chimneys and cells of the nest, have been subjected to fluidization. The increment of pore pressure transmited by the bee's appendages to the moulded soil pellets, produces the outward escape of water, which drags the fine‐grained material. Micro‐morphologically, the fluidization is reflected in the thin layers of clay and organic matter deposited on those surfaces of the constructions exposed to direct contact with the bee's appendages and in the higher content of fine‐grained material close to these layers. Along with the reorientation of the coarser grains of the soil, produced also by the moulding behavior of the bee, these micromorphological features, having high preservational potential, constitute important ichnotaxobases and valuable clues to aid in the recognition of insect trace fossils in paleosols.

摘要:
A trackway from Zimbabwe of probably the smallest dinosaur footprints recorded in Africa, is described and tentatively assigned to the Early Jurassic. The footprints are possibly those of a theropod and show strong negative (outward) rotation of the pes and are associated with manus prints. The shape of the footprints, unusual negative rotation, posterior curvature of digit IV and curious positioning of the manus prints in relation to the pes are enigmatic but somewhat reminiscent ofAtreipus.Although a number of propositions are considered the most likely is that the animal was an immature dinosaur using a quadrupedal gait. A second trackway of slightly larger footprints of a bipedal theropod dinosaur is also recorded along with other diminutive tracks that suggest an early dinosaur assemblage, possibly dating from near the Trias‐sic‐Jurassic boundary.

摘要:
Acomparison of Silurian and Permo/Triassic samples showed similarities that prompted the description of a newFasciculusichnospecies. As a result, some samples previously published under the name of otherFasciculusichnospecies had to be revised. Results of the analysis reveal that the stratigraphical range ofFasciculus rogusspans from the Silurian to the Jurassic.
