Lors des études de sol effectuées en vue de l'érection du barrage LG‐3, on rencontra le problème consistant à localiser un important dépǒt de moraine enfoui à une certaine profondeur. Une approche statistique pour la solution d'un tel problème est suggérée. Elle repose sur le choix séquentiel de points échantillonnaux le long de droites traversant la région, et l'observation de la nature du sol en ces points. L'information recueillie est utilisée, dans un contexte de théorie de la décision, pour estimer certains points de la frontière de la région inconnue. AbstractThis paper examines some properties of a measure of aliasing proposed by Hedayat, Raktoe, and Federer (1974). It is shown that in the case of balanced orthogonal designs with no repeated treatments, minimizing the alias measure is equivalent to minimizing tr Yar(ψ). AbstractThe commutation matrixPmnchanges the order of multiplication of a Kronecker matrix product. The vec operator stacks columns of a matrix one under another in a single column.
