摘要:
An experimental technique was developed to measure local heat transfer coefficients from horizontal cylinders immersed in fluidized beds. Measurements were carried out at room temperature in a cylindrical air fluidized bed, with glass beads mean particle diameter of 300 μm. The accuracy of the technique and the variation of both local and average heat transfer coefficients are reported.

摘要:
The principle of corresponding states can be generalized to include substances that depart from conformality by introducing state dependent shape factors. This principle has been applied to the surface tension of pure liquids and their mixtures. Extensive comparisons with experimental data yield an average deviation of 3 percent for pure nonpolar liquids and 4 percent for mixtures.
