摘要:
In brief: Genital herpes infections are an increasingly common concern for many patients of sports physicians. This article summarizes the current understanding of these infections. While cure is not possible yet, appropriate symptomatic therapy can alleviate discomfort. At the same time a supportive, positive, encouraging attitude on the part of a knowledgeable physician can provide great relief to the patient, who is often frightened and confused by rumors and half-truths about the long- and short-term implications of the diagnosis.

摘要:
In Brief: With proper management, including environmental control, appropriate exercise programs, and medication, all asthmatic patients can lead active lives. Exercise-induced asthma may cause a variety of symptoms, including coughing, chest tightness, shortness of breath, fatigue, and stomachaches. An exercise stress test confirms the diagnosis. Patients comply with their treatment better if they receive education about the physical and psychological aspects of asthma. Both oral and aerosol medications are effective, but some drugs work better for large vs small airways, some are better for chronic maintenance vs acute attacks, and it is important to time the medication with relation to exercise.
