摘要:
Periodic cycles of bounded amplitude may exist in a closed-loop system consisting of an integral pulse frequency modulator and a linear element. This paper develops theoretically the conditions for the existence of these cycles, explicit formulae for their periods, and a criterion for their stability.

摘要:
A triangular waveform generator that operates over a wide range of frequency is described. A complementary pair of transistors are employed to charge and discharge a capacitor alternately in a linear manner in conjunction with a comparator and a level transforming circuit to generate symmetrical waveforms. The circuit configuration provides excellent amplitude stability.

This paper is an extension of a previous one (Sancho 1968), and derives the differential equations for the oments of a system with generalized Poisson or Gaussian.white noise parameters. The rate of change of the expected value of an arbitrary function of the state variables is found, which is later specialized to the system moments.

摘要:
In this paper a method for solving an optimal control problem with multiple constraints on the controlling function has been developed. The method is extended to problems with constraints on both the control function and a state variable. Finally the method gives rise to two auxiliary problems : (i) minimization of an integral over functions by calculus of variations and (ii) solution of a non-linear programming problem.

摘要:
The performance index sensitivity is analysed for the general optimal control problem with initial and final target manifolds. The sensitivity is compared for two arbitrary controllers A and B which are optimal for a nominal parameter value. The method of analysis provides additional insight into the relationship between trajectory sensitivity and the sensitivity of the performance functional. An expression relating the performance index sensitivities for two designs is formulated in terms of the trajectory sensitivities at the initial and final manifolds.
