摘要:
An improved approach to the field orientation control of a CSI-IM drive is developed. The primary current variables in the synchronous reference frame are acquired directly from the DC-link current and the phase angle of the stator current. Flux position estimation is performed by feedback of the primary currents. This substantially reduces the matrix co-ordinate transformations, and simplifies the control strategy. An innovation in the positioning control of the stator current vector is provided by a binary gating pattern in combination with a real-time interrupt technique. A new control scheme, incorporating a nonlinear current controller, has been developed. The analysis and control scheme are verified by experimental results.

摘要:
A computer algorithm is explained in order to determine the performance of capacitor self-excited induction generators (SEIG) taking the machine design details as the input data. The magnetisation characteristic which forms the basis of analysis is obtained using theB/Hcurve of the core material and by employing a curve-fitting technique. The predicted parameter and performance characteristics of a normal induction motor operating as SEIG are compared with corresponding experimental results. Effects of variation of realistic design parameters are studied to obtain guidelines on optimum design. Typical results on a range of normal induction machines are presented to assess their suitability as SEIG.

摘要:
A series of design curves for airgap permeance of vernier-type, doubly-slotted magnetic structures is presented in the paper. Permeance data are obtained from numerical field solutions. Reducing the number of governing geometric parameters makes it possible to express the airgap permeance in as convenient a manner as in equal-pitch-type structures. By using the Fourier expansion method, and these design curves, the airgap permeance per stator pole can be easily determined at any specified tooth misaligned position of a vernier motor.

摘要:
The paper presents a new theory for the control of compensating winding current to eliminate the end-effect forces at all slips of a high-speed linear induction motor. The method is developed on the basis of quasi-one-dimensional solution of electrodynamic equations. Experiments have been conducted using a rotoary-type test facility, and the theoretical results are compared with the experimental results. It is found that the theoretical results agree well with the experimental results.

摘要:
A novel current sensor which determines the currents flowing in an inverter driven induction motor from observations of the pulse currents existing in the DC busbar of the PWM inverter is described. The sensor can determine the real part of the current, and, if the motor is supplying mechanical power, the current magnitude. It is low cost and easy to implement, and experimental results show good accuracy over a range of operating conditions.

摘要:
A computer program is developed for the optimisation of single-winding, dual speed induction motors using leastpth approximation method combined with Rosenbrock technique. The overall economy in designing the motors for minimum operating cost is brought out with examples. Optimisation results show that the performance values, as well as manufacturing cost, are essentially the same for a dual-speed motor of a given kW rating and pole combination designed for various duty cycles. The treatment of independent variables, and constraint specifications and the logic incorporated in the program are discussed.
