SummaryMost patients with obstructive airways disease suffer from bronchial asthma, pulmonary emphysema, chronic obstructive bronchitis or a combination of these conditions.Whole lung tomograms provide differential information of the vascular calibre and branching patterns and of characteristic changes in the bronchial tree and lung parenchyma.Changes associated with cor pulmonale and with left ventricular failure when emphysema is present are described.

SummaryA case of adult intussusception with preoperative radiological diagnosis is presented. The lack of similarity of this condition to the infantile type of intussusception is discussed. The indication for surgery is the significant incidence of malignancy and associated neoplasms.Adult intussusception is an elusive cause of recurrent colicky abdominal pain.
