摘要:
AbstractFerrero, E. (Istituto di Biologia Generale, Universith di Pisa, Pisa, Italy.) A fine structural analysis of the statocyst in Turbellaria Acoela. Zool. Scr. 2 (1): 5–16, 1973.—The fine structure of the statocyst components in the acoelan Convoluta psammophila is described, namely: capsule, parietal cells, lithocyte, and the statolith. The absence of ciliary structures, the highly developed endoplasmic reticulum of the lithocyte and the layered texture of the statolith are remarkable. A functional interpretation of the muscles inserted on the statocyst and of the nerve bundle running nearby is suggested. The morphological similarities and differences between the acoelan statocyst and the statocyst of lower and higher invertebrate phyla are discus

摘要:
AbstractThe present study deals with 12 species of Cicerinidae. Further details are given for 6 species previously described:Toia yciaMarcus,Cicerina eucentrotaAx,Nan‐norhynchides vividusBrunet, JV.harpariusBrunet,N. corneusBrunet,Didiadema picardiBrunet. Two new species are described,Toia calceformissp.n., different fromT. yciaby half‐boot shape of the cirrus, andParacicerina globulosasp.n., characterized by very short (4 μm) cuticular spermatic ducts and a spherical copulatory bulb provided with a spiny cirrus (35–40 μm long). Histological studies ofPtyalorhynchus coecusAx confirm the generic separation ofPtyalorhynchusandParacicerina;the main difference is the glandular girdle structure of the proboscis inPtyalorhynchuswhich is split into two areas (inner and outer one) by basal circular muscles; the intensively stained secretion of the inner area is localized in 15 membranous canals.Pocillorhynchusgen.n., with two species,P. agilissp.n. andP. minutussp.n., is closely related to the generaToiaandNannorhynchides, but differs from them by the following characters: proboscis with broad glandular girdle, devoid of circular muscle bulb, cuticular spermatic ducts long and thin (95–125 μm). From the comparison of their morphological and anatomical features, two groups of genera are distinguished in Cicerinidae; first group includingToia‐Nannorhynchides ‐ Pocillorhynchus, second group includingCicerina‐Paracicerina ‐ Etmorhynchus ‐ Ptyalorhynchus ‐ Zonorhynchus ‐ Xenocicerina ‐ Didiadema.Special attention is paid to proboscis structure. The study ends with an identification key

摘要:
AbstractThe paper deals with sponges collected in the Atlantic by the Swedish Deep Sea Expedition. The collection contains six species of the generaMalaco‐saccus, Chonelasma, heptonema, Asbestopluma, andChondrocladia, which are well known from the deep‐sea. Three new species are described, viz.Asbestopluma quadriserialissp.n.,Chondrocladia al‐batrossisp.n., andC. burtonisp.n. A survey of the knowledge of the Atlantic deep‐sea sponge fauna shows that 118 species are at present known from depths of more than 2 000 m. About 35% of the species were found four or more times, whereas about 47% are known only from the type locality. 63 species were taken more than once, and 50 species are known also from depths of less than

摘要:
AbstractAGyrodactylusspecies from northwestern Sweden is described. Because only one specimen of the species was found no specific name is given. The type of protonephridial system of the new species showed that it belongs to the subgenus G. (Paranephrotus). Because of the strong resemblance between the new species andG. hrabeiErgens these two species are placed in a new species group: theG. hrabei‐group. The Eurasian fresh water fauna seems to have very few representatives belonging toG.(Paranephrotus) and because of this the above find is of special interes

摘要:
AbstractThe adultPardosa fulvipesmale has a stridulatory apparatus in which the file is the hairless striated surface of the book lung opercula, and the scraper part is formed by several stout denticulated hairs re‐trolaterally on the fourth coxae and trochanters. The microscuipture of th; opsrcula and specialized hairs in the adult male are studied with the aid of scanning electron microscope and compared with homologous structures in the adult female and immatures. The microscuipture of the book lung opercula is also compared with that of relatedPardosaspecies. A gradual transformation of the opercular microscuipture occurs in both male and femaleP. fulvipesleading to the species‐specific sculpture in the adults. The behavioural prerequisites for stridulation in this species are discussed.P. fulvipesis hitherto the only lycosid known to have a stridulatory appara
