摘要:
The cnidom was found to consist of several morphologically distinct types of nematocysts in six investigated species of Campanulariidae. Descriptions are provided for b‐rhabdoids (micro‐basic b‐mastigophores) of two sizes, occurring in the polyps ofCampunulariu IntegraandClytia hemisphaericaof thejohnstoni and gracilisforms, respectively. The smaller nemato‐cyst is the most frequent type and is also abundant in the polyps ofLaomedea flexuosa, L. geniculata, L. longissimaandL. dichotomaas well as in the medusae of Campanulariidae. Structural details of the two nematocyst types, as revealed by scanning electron microscopy, permit discussion of the classification of the nematocysts. The tube in the two types tapers almost unnoticeably from base to tip. No distinct, proximal enlargement of the tube was discernable in either type, as earlier light microscopical observations have suggested. The proximal armature consists of a right‐handed, triple helix of three separate strands of long, closely‐set, paired spines. In the small nematocyst the distal part of the tube is armed with medium sized spines and the discharged tube forms an obtuse angle to the long axis of the capsule. The discharged, wider tube of the large nematocyst roughly forms a right angle to the long axis of the capsule and is distally armed with mi

摘要:
Since Bykhowsky's monograph in 1957, the number of genera of higher monogeneans (Oligonchoinea Bykhowsky, 1937) has increased from 60 to 220, and the number of families from 12 to 29. Consequently the system of higher monogeneans requires updating. The order Mazocraeidea Bykhowsky, 1957 should be divided into four suborders: Mazocraeinea, Discocotylinea, Gastrocotylinea and Microcotylinea. The position of the orders Diclibothridea and Chimaericolidea in Bykhowsky's scheme should be changed, because the chimaericolids appear more primitive in several characters than the diclibothriids; furthermore, the suborder Pterinotrematinea Bykhowsky et Nagibina, 1959 should be raised to the rank of order. The taxonomic position of Polystomatidae/Sphyranuridae cannot be settled unequivocally at present. According to peculiarities in their organization they connect the lower monogeneans with the higher ones, and might possibly have to be evaluated and regarded as a third separate group. Division of the higher monogeneans into orders as suggested by Bykhowsky is of general importance, because it reflects actually existing phylogenetic groups separated by considerable morphological differences. Uniting families into superfamilies or into suborders is of no importance. The authors' classification of higher monogeneans is given together with a list of genera and a scheme of the phylogenetic relations of their larger taxa.

摘要:
Anatomical‐histological examinations have made it possible to place with certainty 21 species of the“Peloscolex”complex, includingEmbolocephalus alaskensissp.n.,E. confusussp.n. andBaikalodrilus digitatussp.n., into the eight genera established in the first part of this revision. Owing to deficient and unsatisfactory material and to obscurity as regards related tubificid genera, the placing of ten of the studied species must continue to be regarded as uncertain, and that of four more species could only be suggested. Of the species not studied, most descriptions give no details of the important genital organs, or only inadequate ones. These species are undistinguishable. Only in a few cases has a suggestion been pos

摘要:
Sensory buds of different sizes have been found in the epidermis from the barbels ofMyxine glutinosa. The electron microscopic investigations reveal their composition as one type of receptor cells and two types of supporting cells. The receptor cells have apical stereocilia with filamentous internal structure and there are microvilli on the supporting cells. The cytoplasma of the receptor cells contain fibrils and fibril bundles. The sensory buds are innervated by a nerve plexus below the basal lamina with nerve endings between the basal cells, which lie below the sensory buds. A comparison with sensory buds in some other vertebrates is drawn.

It is characterized by e.g. the absence of black in the anterior dorsal fin and the united dorsal fin lappets in males. The other four species constitute a group of closely related forms. Bars are present in the colour pattern, males have produced anterior dorsal fin lappets, and females have a dark blotch on the chest. 摘要:
The gross and fine morphology of the family Comesomatidae is reviewed and the systematic position of its members revised. Significant differentiating characters of the Comesomatidae within the Chromadorida are: a copulatory apparatus provided with apophyses, a female reproductive system with outstretched ovaries, the presence of marginal tubes within the oesophagus, and a non‐sclerotized and enlarged tail tip. For classification within the family the following three main characters are used: the structure of the buccal cavity, the structure of the copulatory apparatus, and the arrangement of the cephalic sense organs. Structure of theSabatieriatype is considered basic. The genera are rearranged in three subfamilies as follows: Sabatieriinae (Cervonema, Laimelia, Pierrickia, Sabatieria(syn.Actarjania), Scholpaniella), Dorylaimopsinae(Dorylaimopsis(syn.Mesonchium), Hopperia, Metasabatieria, Paramesonchium, Vasostoma), Comesomatinae (Comesoma, Metacomesoma, Paracomesoma.) Six species of Comesomatidae are described from the øresund, Denmark:Cervonema macramphissp.n.;Laimelia filipjevinom. nov. (syn.Sabatieria longicaudataFilipjev, 1922);Sabatieria hilarulaDe Man, 1922;S. ornata(Ditlevsen, 1918);S. punctata(Kreis, 1924);Dorylaimopsis punctataDitlevsen, 1918. Representatives of these species constitute more than 40% of the total number of nematodes in the regi

摘要:
The paired penis papillae of the hermaphroditic polychaeteMicrophthalmuscf.similisare supported each by eight stylet rods. TEM studies reveal that these are intracellular structures each situated in a special elongated cell. They are composed of an electron‐dense amorphous material surrounding a central cylindrical structure that is characteristically striated. The pattern and the periodicity show striking similarities to ciliary rootlet systems. The rod cells border an inner circle of four elongated ciliated cells that surround the central lumen of the papilla. The periphery of the organ is built up of thin epidermis cells and the dendritic parts of special receptor cells. The intracellular nature of these stylet rods is quite in contrast to the tube‐like stylets ofMicrophthalmuscf.lislensiswhich have been found to be extracellular structures derived from the cuticle of corresponding copulatory papil
