摘要:
Nine new rock reference samples of the “Sedimentary rock series”, Chert JCh‐1, Dolomite JDo‐1, Lake sediment JLk‐1, Limestone JLs‐1, Stream sediments JSd‐1 to JSd‐3, and Slates JS1‐1 and JSl‐2 have been prepared by the Geological Survey of Japan(GSJ). Thirty major, minor and trace elements were determined using atomic absorption spectrometry, flame emission spectrometry, infrared absorption spectrometry and wet chemical techniques. The results of homogeneity tests showed that almost all elements, with a few exceptions, are considered to be distributed homogeneously in ea

摘要:
Values for gold in a series of three reference samples selected from Gueizhou Province, China, were recommended by the Institute of Mineral Comprehensive Survey, Zhengzhou Department, in June 1986. Because of the large amount (1360 to 2600 Kg) of the three samples collected, the contents of 26 elements other than gold were determined to see if the large samples might also serve as general geochemical reference samples.

摘要:
The determination of twelve rare‐earth elements (REE), scandium, yttrium and hafnium in 32 geochemical reference materials by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP‐AES) is reported. Results obtained show good agreement with previously published values and compilations. The method is based on a lithium metaborate fusion of the sample followed by a cation exchange separation. A small amount of oxalic acid added to the 6N HNO3eluant ensures the complete elution of hafnium with the other 14 eleme

摘要:
Concentration data on 73 individual constituents in United States Geological Survey (USGS) Geochemical Exploration Reference Materials GXR‐1 to GXR‐6 have been collected from 131 journal articles and technical reports. These data are summarized as consensus (mean) values with uncertainties expressed as one standard deviation. Mean values are also calculated as a function of analytical procedure and all raw data are given in the tables. Recommended values are proposed based upon data criteria used by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology, formerly the National Bureau of Standards or N

摘要:
Rare earth elements were determined by secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) for 12 igneous rocks and one feldspar separate from the new rock reference samples of the Geological Survey of Japan. The study presents an expanded application of the SIMS facility.

摘要:
An assessment of the difficulties in determining zirconium by various techniques indicates that X‐ray fluorescence analysis has several favourable characteristics, provided the technique can be calibrated reliably. After critical evaluation, a group of silicate reference materials was selected to calibrate energy dispersive X‐ray fluorescence instrumentation. The accuracy of the resultant calibration was verified by a standards addition procedure. New zirconium data were obtained on a wide range of reference samples and compared with values from recent compilati

摘要:
Data for nine rare‐earth elements (REE) determined by inductively coupled plasma spectrometry (ICP‐AES) in sixty international geochemical reference samples (igneous and sedimentary rocks, soils and sediments) are presented. The method is based on acid digestion of the sample and cation‐exchange separation from matrix elements. Good agreement is generally achieved between the results of this work and the recent compilation values. The present paper includes analytical data on several reference materials for which existing data are rather scarce or even inex

摘要:
The collection and preparation of four lake and four stream sediment reference materials are described. Provisional values related to both total concentrations and concentrations derived from partial extraction procedures are presented for major, minor and trace element constituents. As large amounts of samples (160–200 kg) have been prepared, they should be of interest to soil analyst

摘要:
Recommended concentrations for 38 elements in the U.S. Geological Survey reference sample, Ohio Shale (Devonian) SDO‐1, are presented here. For an additional 25 elements, average concentrations or ranges are reported for information. Also presented are the supporting analytical data and a description of the statistical procedure used in deriving recommended concentrations from that data. The sample is a brownish‐black, fissile, platy shale containing flattened pyrite nodules and a high organic content. It is typical of “eastern gas shale”, in contrast to the USGS reference sample SGR‐1, which typifies oil shale from the Green River Formation. SDO‐1 was collected from the Huron Member of the Late Devonian Ohio Shale in western Rowan County, Kentucky. The sample is available as fine splits for detailed chemical analysis and as coarse splits for hand, microscopic, and microfossil
