摘要:
ABSTRACT1984 compilation of working values and sample description for 170 international reference samples of mainly silicate rocks end minerals.Working values and sample description for 170 international rock and mineral reference samples are presented in B7 pages, with 14 pages for the main text and 73 pages for the four appendices. Appendix I presents working values for 170 reference samples in 19 pages, each page containing data on 10 samples, in general. Data on each sample are given in five colored blocks, the first block for 15 major and minor elements and the other four for 66 trace elements, whenever such data were available. Working values for each element are arranged, in ascending order, in Appendix II (39 pages). Brief sample description of each sample (numbered 001 to 170) and References form respectively Appendix III and IV. This compilation is published as a special issue of Geostandards Newsletter (July 19841, with the financial support of UNESCO and the International Association of Geochemistry and Cosmochemistry.RESUMECompilation (1984) des valeurs de travail et la description dea échantillms pour 170 échantillms internationaux de référence principalement des roches silicatées et des minéraux.Des valeurs de travail (“working values”) et la description des échantillons pour 170 échantillons internationaux de roches et minéraux sont présentés dens 87 pages avec 14 pages pour le texte principal et 73 pages pour les quatre annexes. 摘要:
Three rock reference samples. W‐2, DNC‐1, and BIR‐1, were analysed five times over several months by classical chemical methods using a Youden Square as the experimental design. A significant variation for the data classified by months was found for SiO2, CaO, H2O‐, and TiO2among the 15 constituents determined. Nevertheless, most standard deviations for the five data for each oxide in any sample, as well as the error standard deviations from the analyses of variance, are less than or approximately equal to the allowable difference between duplicate determinations traditionally used as limits of error. We also determined nine constituents in three portions each of two samples, W‐2 and DNC‐1, the six portions being analysed concurrently. F ratios for 16 comparisons of the variances of the five data for an oxide obtained over several months and of the three data determined as a group were significant for only one oxide, total iron as Fe2O3in W‐2. We conclude that, if a chemist analyses rock samples carefully, the variation of the determinations will be the same for portions analysed as a group, or analysed over a

摘要:
The cadmium and lead contents of seventy‐seven geological reference samples have been determined by atomic absorption spectrometry using an air‐acetylene flame or a carbon tube atomizer, after extraction of cadmium and lead as iodides with methylisobutylketone (MIBK). The agreement between the present results and published data is generally g

摘要:
A low‐flux reactor (SLOWPOKE II) may be used to determine a large number of trace elements by neutron activation. Details of this technique are given along with results for 22 elements in 22 international reference rocks. Our results are compared with published “best values”; the agreement is favourable in most

摘要:
Precious metals (Ag, Au, Pt, Pd, Rh) were determined by flameless absorption atomic spectrornetry. Aqua regia sample decomposition followed by Te coprecipitation was employed to preconcentrate the precious metals in geological materials. With 5 g sample take‐up, the limits of determination were 1‐2 ppb for Au, Pd and Rh, 5 ppb for Ag and 10‐20 ppb for Pt. These elements were determined in some geochemical stan

摘要:
Eighteen international reference standards, mostly geochemical standards, have been analysed for boron using prompt‐gamma neutron activation analysis (PGNAA). There is good agreement between the results for samples with high boron abundances and the few published values using PGNAA and other methods. However, correlation is poor at low boron abundances, especially in those standards with low boron/sodium ratios. Corrections for sodium interference on boron have been critically evaluated and the data corrected using two different method
