摘要:
AbstractThe occurrence of series of indole glucosinolates in callus cultures ofBrassica napusvar.napobrassicaL. and B.oleraceavar.botrotysL. was demonstrated by GC of trimethylsilyl derivatives. Neither callus nor suspension cultures ofHirschfeldia incanaL. accumulated any of the glucosinolates present in the mature plant; however, feeding of 2‐propenyl glucosinolate to suspensions of the latter was shown to lead to production of the isothiocyanat

摘要:
AbstractThe leaf essential oils of the two species ofChoricarpiawere examined.Choricarpia subargentea(C.T. White) L.A.S. Johnson produced an oil in which the major components were α‐pinene (30‐76%), limonene (2‐55%) and 1,8‐cineole (2‐20%). The oil also contained the aromatic ketone jensenone (2,4,6‐trihydroxy‐3,5‐diformyl‐isopentyrophenone) in amounts of up to 5%.Choricarpia leptopetala(F. Muell.) Domin produced an oil which also contained α‐pinene, as principal component. There were varying (though less than 20%) amounts of limonene,p‐cymene and 1,8‐cineole present. Small amounts (less than 3%) of methyl eugenol, methyl isoeugenol and elemicin were also detected in the oil. Jensenone wa

摘要:
AbstractEssential oils were isolated from severalLavandulahybrids growing spontaneously in the north‐west Italian Alps. GC analyses were carried out to determine the percentage composition of the oils. The data obtained were statistically processed in order to partition the natural hybrids according to their oil composition. The results showed the presence of five distinct groups of plants characterized by high linalol, linalyl acetate, cis‐linalol oxide, trans‐linalol oxide, 1,8‐cineole, camphor and germacrene‐D contents in t

摘要:
AbstractPeppermint leaf oil was isolated by a supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) using CO2in which the extraction was followed by a two‐stage fractional separation. Chemical analysis revealed that oils extracted under different SFE conditions possessed a widely different percentage composition. The percentage of co‐extracted cuticular waxes varied too. Oil obtained by hydrodistillation was also compared with the extracted oils. Although practically the same compounds were present in the hydrodistilled oil, its composition was similar to SFE oil extracted under non‐optimized conditions. Qualitative aroma tests showed that the oil obtained at optimum SFE conditions (p= 90 bar,T= 50°C) had a fragrance that better resembled that of the peppermint leaves used for the extraction of th

摘要:
AbstractThe volatile oils isolated by steam distillation from the leaves, stems and flowers ofPaederia foetidaL. were analysed by capillary GC and GC‐MS. Oxygen‐containing monoterpenes constituted the main chemical class in the three oils, which all contained linalol as the major component. However, some significant differences in the oil composition were observed. The dominant aroma components are believed to be sulphur‐containing compounds most of which were found in the leaf oil, the most abundant constituent within this chemical class being dimethyl disul

摘要:
AbstractA comparative study of the essential oils prepared from the fresh leaves of plants collected from St Catherine, Sinai (sample I), and from Giza (sample II) was carried out. The yields were 0.14 and 0.40% respectively.Analysis of the oils by gas chromatography‐mass spectroscopy (GC‐MS) led to the identification of 43 components in sample I. These components represented 82% of the total composition of the oil. Verbenone (12.3%), camphor (11.3%), bornyl acetate (7.6%) and limonene (7.1%) were the major constituents. Thirty‐seven components, which represented about 86% of the total composition of the oil, were identified in sample II. Camphor (14.9%), α‐pinene (9.3%), and 1,8‐cineole (9.0%) were the main constituents.Sample II showed a good antimicrobial activity againstCandida albicans, Cryptococcus neoformans and Mycobacterium intracellularae.Preliminary screening against the earthwormsAllolobophora caliginosashowed that both oils have a marked vermicida

摘要:
AbstractThe volatile constituents of the leaves ofVepris heterophyllaR. Let. (Rutaceae), were studied for the first time. Thirty‐three compounds, out of the forty‐four detected, were identified by means of capillary GC and GC‐MS. The C12hydrocarbons, geijerene and pregeijerene (together about 20%), are the main constit

摘要:
AbstractUsing a home‐made supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) system, SFE‐CO2extracts with chemical composition comparable to those of the essential oils obtained by a traditional steam distillation procedure were obtained from two Lauraceae samples. Both the steam distillation oils and the SFE‐CO2extract ofOcotea caesiaMez (Lauraceae) contained the oxygenated sesquiterpenes bisabolol and nerolidol as the main compo
