摘要:
ABSTRACTIn part 2, 10 genera (1 new) and 24 species (7 new, 4 unnamed) of dichoporite Rhombifera, and a recently discovered new species of diploporite cystpid are described. Dichoporites occur from the Tremadoc to the Ashgill, but are only common in the Upper Ordovician. All dichoporites have well-developed stems, but while glyptocystitids were free-living as adults, hemicosmitids were attached, high-level suspension feeders with pinnate arms. Dichoporites have a fixed pattern of thecal plates. They passed sea water through their rhombs for respiratory gas exchange.
