AbstractIn the functional integral formalism of quantum field theory a gauge breaking term is added to the classical action in order to parametrize the orbits of the gauge group. In quantum gravity this gauge breaking term fixes the orientation of the Riemannian metric with respect to a fixed reference metric. We explain the notion of gauge invariance this procedure is based on. A special gauge fixing term is considered, which together with the Einstein‐Hilbert action leads to Rosen's bimetric theory with arbitrary background. AbstractThe electronic polarizability of ions in silver halide molecules is estimated including the influence of molecular environment. The calculation is also compared with results from other approaches. Finally some spectroscopic properties have been calculated to show the validity of the result of present calculation in the molecular environment.

AbstractContinuing the previous work [1], where a way of associating the gauge fields with Finslerian metrics has been indicated, in the present note we propose a class of Finslerian metrics which are of interest for the following two reasons. AbstractReaction‐diffusion systems with charged particles are studied. Conditions for the arising of electrical dissipative structures in a compartment system consisting of two boxes separated by a membrane are derived. The appearance of a polar dissipative structure is proved for a simple capacitor model in combination with a simple second order chemical kinetics which leads to an analytically solvable problem. AbstractWe consider massive classical matter fields with spin 1/2, 1, 3/2 and 2 in the flat Minkowski spacetime. By the method of Gordon, we decompose their respective momentum and spin current densities into their convective and polarisation parts (see eqns. (10a, b)). We find the translational and rotational gravitational moment densities of these fields. Their general properties are discussed and we draw some conclusions for a gauge theoretical treatment of gravity.

AbstractA two‐phase model of nuclear matter and quark gluon plasma is presented.
