It is known that commuting self-adjoint operator extensions may in general not exist for the commuting symmertric partial derivative operators on an open bounded set in finite dimensions. To still get a spectral theory and harmonic analysis decomposition for a general clas of such problems, we introduce (and solve) an associated operator extension problem for the Dirac operator. Our method is algebraic in flavor, and it also applics to a similar problem in infinite dimensions.

In this paper, on open boundary value problem for analytic functions is deduced from an elastic plane problem. Two integral equations are deduced from it. Using complex analysis, the existence and uniqueness of the solution are proved under the mechanically reasonable conditions and a method of solution id given.
