摘要:
AbstractThe Xiangshui to Mandal geoscience transect, which has a total length of 1,200 km, extends diagonally, from SE to NW, across the Sino‐Korean plate and its ancient continental margin, passing through nine tectonic units: the Subei‐Jiaonan terrane, West Shandong block, North China rift basin, Taihang‐Wutai block, Ordos block, Hu‐Bao (Hohhot‐Baotou) Basin, Yinshan block and Inner Mongolian fold system. The graphic display of the transect is compiled according to the Guidelines for the Global Geoscience Transect (GGT) Project on the basis of an integrated study of all available geological, geochemical and geophysical data, thus bringing light to the process of cratonization of the Sino‐Korean plate and its relationship with the transitional zone of the ancient continental margin, and the features of intraplate structures produced by subsequent tectonic modifications and intrapla

摘要:
AbstractThe Zhongtiao Mountains, a typical exposure area of Precambrian rocks, are a concentration area of various types of copper deposit. The rocks were dated using several dating methods. Based on the age data obtained by means of three methods, several aspects are dealt with: (1) the dating results obtained by different methods and their geological implications have been compared; (2) a chronotectonic framework has been constructed by means of these reliable ages, which indicates that the ages of the rocks of the Proterozoic mobile belt fall in a time span of 2400 to 2000 Ma during which global magmatic records are lacking and reflects the ages of important events in the mobile belt; (3) according to the ages of inherited zircons, neodymium model age of the depleted mantle sources (TDM) and geochemical and geological data, a model of Precambrian chronocrustal structure has been constructed, representing a typical for the North China craton.

摘要:
AbstractThe volcanic rock series on the Fildes Peninsula is the product of the later subduction of the Pacific plate beneath the Antarctic plate. It consists mainly of basalt, basaltic andesite and andesite with minor dacite. Its isotopic ages range from 64.6 ± 1 to 43 ± 2 Ma, belonging to Palaeocene to Eocene. Volcanism in the area may be divided into two phases. The contents of major oxides, rare earth elements (REE) and trace elements in volcanic rocks formed in different phases show regular changes, which are mainly related to the rock associations of these phases. Isotope geochemical studies indicate that the primitive magma in the area originating by partial melting in the upper mantle underwent fractional crystallization and ascended to the high‐level (shallow) magma chamber. Before eruption the primitive basalt‐andesitic magma was subjected to differentiation in the high‐level magma chamber, forming zones of derivative magmas of different compositions. In various phases magma‐conducting faults experienced periodic extension and cut through various derivative magma zones in different parts of the peninsula, leading to the eruption of magmas of different compositions on the surface and the formation of volcanic rock associations of corresponding com

摘要:
AbstractIn accordance with the terms global minerogenic series, regional metallogenic series and ore deposit system which are put forward here, metallogenic environments at different levels are discussed for the porphyry copper deposit series in China. It is considered that the porphyry copper deposits in China are controlled not only by the boundaries of convergent plates but, more importantly, by the boundaries of intraplate divergent mobile belts and those between continental blocks. Besides, the emplacement of hypabyssal and supper‐hypabyssal calc‐alkaline magmas and the temporal‐spatial distribution of China's porphyry copper deposits are governed by the superimposition of fracture systems of the pre‐Alpine basements, Meso‐Cenozoic cover and continental‐margin new‐born crust. Such a superimposition has also resulted in the polycyclicity of the m

摘要:
AbstractOn the basis of the studies of field geology, strontium, hydrogen and oxygen isotopes and REE geochemistry, coupled with the dating of mineralization, the authors suggest a minerogenetic model of circulation and drawing of Late Cretaceous geothermal waters for the fluorite deposits in southeastern China. This model includes two types of mechanism: 1) the leaching‐out and drawing through deep circulation of the geothermal water, and 2) the leaching‐out and drawing through shallow circulation of the water. The fluorite mineralization of Mesozoic volcanic rock terrain is related mainly to the former mechanism, with the mineralizing material coming chiefly from the Precambrian metamorphic rocks of the basement underlying the host rocks; while that of Yanshanian granite terrain is associated with the latter mechanism, with the mineralizing material derived primarily from the host granites and sedimentary ro

摘要:
AbstractThe Lijiagou Pb‐ Zn deposit in Gansu Province is a syngenetic hydrothermal‐ depositonal and metamorphosed hydrothermal weakly‐reworked stratabound ore deposit. The metallogenic physicochemical conditions of the deposit are thoroughly dealt with in this paper according to its different mineralization stages. Based on the systematic study of metallogenic material sources, it is considered that the ore‐forming metals, ore sulphur and water of mineralizing fluids are mainly derived from the basement, reduction sulphur of marine sulfate and infiltrating heated meteoric water and partially recharged sea water, respectively. Finally, the metallogenic model of this deposit is esta

摘要:
AbstractThis article is a preliminary summary of Paleogene biostratigraphy of the Liguanqiao, Tantou and Yuanqu basins, with a new proposal for Paleogene paleobiogeographic provinces of China. On the basis of a synthetic analysis of the geological data, characters of the mammalian assemblages and their comparisons with other corresponding faunas, a new scheme on Paleogene biostratigraphic subdivision of the basins has been put forward here. Based on differences of biostratigraphic sequences, characteristics of mammalian assemblages and directions of faults controlling Paleogene basins in China, six Paleogene paleobiogeographic provinces of China have been proposed in this paper, that is: Tianshan‐Yinshan‐Tumen Province; Tarim‐North China Province; Kunlun‐Qinling Province; Yangtze Province; Nanling and Southeastern Coastal Province; Qinghai and Tibet P
