摘要:
An Auger electron spectrum of an aluminum nitride thin film is presented. The film was prepared by reactive dc magnetron sputter deposition onto a silicon wafer substrate. The film was grown epitaxially on the Si(111) substrate. The film was also characterized using electron probe microanalysis, x-ray diffraction, and transmission electron microscopy.

X-ray photoemission spectra from an epitaxial thin film of the tetragonal semiconducting phase of YBa2Cu3O6+xwhich has been chemically etched in Br2/ethanol are presented. These data are useful for comparison to the orthorhombic superconducting phase.

X-ray photoemission measurements for high purity, ultradry SrF2which has not been exposed to the atmosphere are presented. The data include the valence band region and energy losses from the principal core levels. Comparison of energy losses from the Sr 3dand Sr 4ppeaks shows that a reported Sr 4ssatellite peak is actually an energy loss peak associated with the Sr 4d.

摘要:
X-ray photoemission spectra for the superconducting orthorhombic phase of YBa2Cu3O7are presented. The data are from a chemically etched epitaxial thin film with the surface terminated in Cu–O planes, rather than the Ba–O termination obtained on cleaved crystals. The Cu–O termination results in a single Ba species and a Fermi edge in the valence band region which is stable in vacuum at room temperature.
