摘要:
A detailed calculation of radiation spectra from relativistic positrons in the ionic crystal LiF has been carried out and compared with experimental results of Bermanet al. (see Ref. 3). Theoretical results proved to be in good agreement with experimental ones. In addition to the observed peaks from the (111) plane an extra peak at energy near 125 keV is also predicted.

摘要:
The results of Mössbauer and X-ray diffraction investigations of neutron irradiated Fe3Al alloy are presented. The behaviour of the irradiated samples during heat treatment shows significant differences as compared with the nonirradiated ones in the Mössbauer spectra and diffraction patterns. The results are attributed to the presence of submicroparticles of new phases in the irradiated samples which are stable during heat treatment.

摘要:
We show that the use of a recently derived, simple and accurate, universal equation for the electronic stopping of ions in solids, together with a simple projected range algorithm (PRAL) derived by Biersack, leads to an easy and reliable means to evaluate projected ranges of ions in solids for non-relativistic velocities. The mathematical simplicity, accuracy and physical clarity in using these two formalisms makes them very useful in practice. Good agreement is observed with experiment and with calculations based on transport theory.

摘要:
CR-39 plastic sheets have been tested for their response to protons, deuterons, and alpha particles. The enlargement of the latent damage trail has been studied (a) under varying experimental conditions, and (b) as a function of energy, restricted energy loss, and Z2crr/β2of the light charged particles. The critical angles of etching of CR-39 and its response curves have been obtained. Scanning-Electron-Microscopy (SEM) has been employed for studying the profiles of the etched channels.

摘要:
Thermoluminescence (TL) of liquid nitrogen temperature (LNT) X-irradiated LiF single crystals was studied in the temperature range from LNT to room temperature (RT) in which three TL glow peaks around −135(138), −110 (163) and −5°C (268°K) along with three shoulders around −120 (153), −45 (128) and + 15°C (288°K) were observed. The TL spectral decompositions reveal that all the TL glow peaks emit around 208, 255, 305 and 405 nm with different relative intensities. The observed results were interpreted on the basis of the existing models of thermoluminescence mechanism.

摘要:
An analytic empirical formula for the angular dependence of light-ion sputtering and heavy-ion sputtering has been proposed. The present empirical formula has two adjustable parameters which are determined by the least-squares method. One of the two parameters corresponds to Sigmundf, and the other is the angle of incidence at the maximum yield. The present empirical formula is found to be very useful for preliminary descriptions of the angular dependence of sputtering yield.

摘要:
Lindhard's theory of the nuclear stopping power is developed to take into account the binding force between the lattice atoms of solids. It is shown that the nuclear stopping power is proportional to the velocity (not the energy) of the moving atom at the low velocity limit. Debye temperature dependence of the nuclear stopping power is discussed.

摘要:
The simultaneous fast-neutron irradiation of thin copper foils immersed in liquid helium has shown an unexpected increase in the damage production rate with decreasing foil thickness. This effect can be attributed to the damage produced in the near-surface region of the foils by energetic helium atoms that result from the neutron bombardment.

摘要:
The radiation spectra of ultra relativistic electrons in planar channeling have been calculated including the higher harmonics for a model potential similar to the real one. The energy proved to be emitted mainly at odd harmonics. The dependence of the spectral intensity of radiation on transverse energy exhibits a maximum nearly at the middle of the potential well.
