摘要:
AbstractSeveral aspects of fusion rings and fusion rule algebras, and of their manifestations in two‐dimensional (conformal) field theory, are described: diagonalization and the connection with modular invariance; the presentation in terms of quotients of polynomial rings; fusion graphs; various strategies that allow for a partial classification; and the role of the fusion rules in the conformal bootstrap programm

摘要:
AbstractThe transformations of the type which convert an exponential into a Gaussian and vice‐versa and their applications in various areas of many‐body physics are discussed. A new and general method of obtaining such transformations is given using the method of moments. It is compared with other methods which could be employed to obtain such transformations. In atomic physics, we have shown how such transformations can be used to obtain electron interaction energy for the ground state of Helium and Wigner transform for the ground state ofHatom. It is shown how to bring angular momentum operators to linear form so that one can use the usual property of rotation operator to calculate their matrix elements. A new way of calculating the approximate eigenvalues of a Hamiltonian is given which combines the variational principles with the principle of maximum entropy. The anharmonic oscillator Hamiltonian is used to illustrate this new method. An interesting aspect of these transformations is that one could combine them with other transformations like Grassmann integration to calculate quantities of physical interest in closed form. A general matrix element of the harmonic oscillator is given which can be used to calculate usual quantities like the trace and density matrix. Some future applications are also discus

摘要:
AbstractThe stationary universe solutions have been studied using the metrics of VAN Stockum(1937) and Gödel(1949) in a New ST theory (Saezand Ballester, 1985), general relativity with variable cosmological term (Narlikaret al., 1991), Lyra's geometry (Sen, 1957) and Cosmic strings. It has been shown that the stationary universe has rigid rotation in ST theory. In the presence of variable cosmological term, there is non‐rigid rotation in the presence of Zeldovich fluid for van Stockum metric. In Lyra's geometry the only solution is possible when the gauge function β is variable and there is Zeldovich fluid. However, in the presence of cosmic strings, there is no solution with van Stockum or Gödel met

摘要:
AbstractAt a summary of the four present measurements for the solar neutrino problem one receives for the quotient of the number of the really observed events and the theoretically by the standard solar model exspected value the result\documentclass{article}\pagestyle{empty}\begin{document}$$\frac{{\Phi _{\exp } }}{{\Phi _{theor} }} = 0.3325 \pm 0.195.$$\end{document}This says that in the mean only 33.25% with a possible mistake of 19.25% of the exspected solar neutrinos have been observed. If one goes out from the assumption, that the attempts hitherto proposed for the solution of the problem on the solar neutrino deficits as to be regarded as very unsatisfactory on the one side, while on the other the neutrinos of the β‐decay may not exist at all, this looks very troublesome. But there is another possibility of a new interpretation. One has to consider, that in connection with each theoretically until now assumed neutrino of β‐decay at the solar p‐p‐ and all joined following fusion ‐processes precisely one positron will be produced.Exactly this particle will with the probability 1/2 in a triplett state of fixing with an electron of the solar centre plasma at a binding energy of −2029.7 eV create an electric‐neutral duotron. This particle assumes fully, inclusive the very welcome factor 1/2, the rǒle of the theoretically dispensable neutrino. This can be regarded as the solution of the solar
