摘要:
For a large combinational circuit, the problem of multiple fault detection and location is of great importance in the sense that, by such detection and location, we may find some fault-free sensitized paths between the primary inputs and some embedded points so that the signal values on these embedded points can be controlled through those paths. Furthermore, for VLSI chips, if some multiple faults frequently occur in certain chip area, fault location may provide some useful insight for redesigning that part of the chip so as to eliminate those multiple faults. In the present paper we develop an approach to multiple fault location which is adaptive scheduled and applicable to large combinational circuits. It is well known that unlike fault detection, adaptive scheduled fault location, in general, yields a shorter experiment. The relative advantages of the suggested approach in the context of some of the existing approaches to the solution of the problem are also discussed.

摘要:
This paper seeks to open up debate between organization theorists and cyberneticians on the basis or commonalities of concern and similarities in the recommendations made to managers. Stafford Beer's “viable system model” is put forward as a framework which can be employed to integrate the findings of these two disciplines into a practical management tool. The VSM itself, as an exalted expression of the organization theory/cybernetic orthodoxy, is then “put on trial,” with a view to drawing conclusions about the relevance and value to managers of this type of thinking.

摘要:
A theoretical frame for the description of the interactional behavior of human subject systems is presented. The subject's interactional pattern is defined by a quadruple of coordinates, each coordinate being the probability of transition between elementary states, defined in terms of initial subject states and input information (external stimuli). The mathematical basis is briefly given to formalize the model of the human dyadic interactions (interaction between mullicomponent systems can be similarly treated, but is beyond the scope of the paper). The possibility of studying theoretically the evolution with age of the interactional basic mechanisms of human subjects is investigated. An experiment empirically confirmed the validity of the theoretical predictions on the evolution of the mechanisms of the pragmatics of students (from 6 years of age) up to adults.
