摘要:
On the basis of multiobjective optimization the analysis of process conditions of L-lysine drying in a fluidized-bed dryer was performed. Two methods of multiobjective optimization were used: a sequential one and the method of minimal losses. Results obtained were compared with those of one-objective optimization. The multiobjective optimization methods have been found useful in the selection of drying conditions in the dryer under consideration.

The experimental results of dielectric drying of capillary-porous material with negligible internal resistance to mass flow (alumina) and capillary-colloidal-porous material with significant internal resistance to mass flow (wheat) in a fluidized bed have been presented. The modified adiabatic saturati on equation for radiofrequency and microwave fluidized bed drying has been verified.

摘要:
The ways to enhance spray drying of thermo-sensitive materials such as whole egg (yolk and white) are considered. New approaches to drying agent distribution and liquid spraying processes are suggested. Some experimental results are presented. A spray dryer of capacity 300 kg of water evaporated per hour has been proposed. The dryer operating parameters are compared with those of similar equipment for whole egg drying.

摘要:
An improved mathematical model for the continuous vacuum drying of highly viscous and heat-sensitive food-stuffs was proposed. The process of continuous vacuum drying was presented as a moving boundary problem of moisture evaporation in cylindrical coordinates. Boundary condition of the first kind for the known functional dependence of the drying body surface temperature on time was considered. Finally, the appropriate system of differential equations was solved numerically and the values of drying rate, integral moisture content of the material, moving boundary position as well as temperature in any point of the material and at any moment of time were obtained. This procedure was applied to continuous vacuum drying of foods such as natural cheese and fresh fish meat paste.

摘要:
The seeds of white and red clover were dried in contact dryers under 75 to 90% vacuum and at wall temperature 45 to 50'C. The main advantage of the vacuum contact drying in relation to convective one is energy saving. The mathematical "penetration model" with some simplifications was used for calculation of the rate-of-drying curves. The experimental and theoretically ' provided rate-of-drying curves do not differ significantly.

摘要:
Removal of multicomponent moisture is a frequent problem in pharmaceutical and related industries. To control the process temperature of the solid and individual drying rates must be known. For nonporous (crystalline) solids of small size the problem may be reduced to simulation of a wet-bulb wetted with multi-component moisture. In the paper a simple model of the process was presented and tested using the wet-bulb of a commercial Assmann psychrometer as a test solid. Dynamics of temperature change of such wet-bulb wetted with a binary mixture of ethanol and water was measured and compared with those predicted by the model. Satisfactory agreement of the model predictions with the experiment was found.

The survey on recent development of the drying technology research in Czechoslovakia is confined to major achievements in drying theory and dryers design in NRIMD Praha. Selected works deal with moisture bond and moisture transport in dried material, modeling of advanced dryers systems like the vibrofluidized bed and impact drying. Methods of the dryer design and computing of drying process parameters used in NRIMD are outlined.
