摘要:
The behavior and control of aerosols as they influence their penetration through fabrics are reviewed together with the parameters that influence filter performance, such as porosity, tortuosity, and pressure drop. The theories of air filtration and the various mechanisms of particle capture and retention by filter media are examined in detail. Current standard and experimental test methods for measuring filtration of aerosols through nonwoven fabrics is well researched and is analyzed in detail. Although research on aerosol filtration through woven fabrics has not been as extensively studied, it is also reviewed. For effective protection against toxic aerosols the behavior of barrier fabrics under actual working conditions must be known. One such a model is discussed.
