摘要:
The present author thinks that the Younger Dryas Stadial include three colder phases separated by two warmer intervals. In Sweden and Finland there are three terminal moraine zones which should be correlated mutually. However, different opinions about this question have been expressed. The Baltic Ice Lake is believed to have been drained just at the end of the Younger Dryas Stadial and to show no other drastic changes in level (i.e. neither sudden damming nor drainage).

摘要:
The gravity models of the Finnish rapakivi granites show a remarkable similarity both of shape and depth values. The models resemble enormous, asymmetric laccoliths, the depth of the root part being 18–20 km. The formation of the rapakivi-sandstone-complex in Satakunta is apparently closely connected with a Pre-Cambrian, NW—SE-striking zone of weakness.

摘要:
Three new age determinations using the Rb—Sr whole rock method are presented for the sub-Jotnian Dala porphyries. Together with previously published analyses (Welin et al. 1966 and Priem et al. 1968) an isochron age of 1669 ± 38 m. y. is obtained using a decay constant of 1.39 · 10−11yr−1(Fig. 2).

摘要:
At some places in southern Sweden outcrops are found of a peculiar, conglomerate-like rock consisting of dolerite with numerous pebbles of mainly quartzite. The latter belong to the Jotnian Almesåkra series, and the occurrences of the conglomerate-like rock are a criterion that this series earlier has had a much wider distribution than now and covered large parts of southern Sweden. The two best occurrences of this peculiar rock are found at Brevik and Rödja in Småland. The present paper is the result of an examination of the conglomeratic rock at Brevik.

摘要:
Shore displacement in the vicinity of Stockholm has been studied. The height of old trees and14C-datings of isolation levels in isolated lakes have been used for the calculations. Results from two earlier papers (Åse 1969 a and 1969 b) are also used for the construction of shore-displacement curves. The isolation of Lake Mälar from the Baltic is discussed. A few methods to make eustatical corrections in order to obtain land upheaval as pure as possible have been tried.

During the recent recession of Scandinavian glaciers fluted moraine surfaces are so frequently revealed that this morphology seems to be the normal form of ground moraine in plain surfaces. — Was this sort of fluting also the normal micro topography of emerging moraine surfaces in front of the receding Scandinavian ice sheet and in that case could it still be traced? — The question is discussed on basis of aerial photographs from plains in Northern Norway and Southern Sweden. Even in cultivated areas indications of flutings occur and are revealed in aerial photographs by moisture differences in the ground.

摘要:
Ancient shore-marks situated c. 1–15 m above mean sea level have been studied along the eskers of the Malar valley. The stratification of the zones of the shore-marks is discussed. The possibility of studying the variation in land uplift within the area of investigation by means of these zones (i.e. “shore-lines”) is also investigated.

X-ray analysis of metamict zircon from a granitic pegmatite NE of Stockholm showed the presence of zircon, baddeleyite and possibly α-christobalite, indicating the decay of zircon into oxides. The heated sample consisted mostly of zircon and cubic zirconia.
