摘要:
We study slowly moving viscous shock associated with the Burgers equation defined in the quarter plane ubject to the constant input data. The true splution for the given problem is derived by using the classical Cole-Hopf transformation and the Robin function of the resultant problem, and is written in terms of the complementary error function and its first iterated integral. A viscous shocj structure is botained by analyzing the asymptotic behavior of the true solution for small viscosity and is expressed in terms of the hyperbolic tangent function. The obtained viscous shocj is not of the form that one might expect a Pariori. The location of the viscous shock, which is governed by a nonlin ear algebraic equation, is solved by using the Lambert W function. A full charactrization of shock location and shock speed is shown.

摘要:
We consider multi-phase Stefan problems for a class of nonlinear parabolic equations with dynamic boundary conditions formulated in bounded domains in RN, N≥2. Our dynamic boundary condition is described by a non-linear parabolic (pseudo) differential equation for the boundary temperature. The existence and uniqueness for a weak solution as well as the monotone dependence of the solution upon data will be shown. Our approach to this problem is based on the abstract theory of nonlinear evolution equations governed by time-dependent subdifferentials in Hilbert spaces.

摘要:
The displacement boundary value problem of qusi–static linear thermoe–lasticity is considered. The results of Previous literature (shi and Xu5) are improved by more accurate estimation. By a careful investigation of a certain integral operator and by utilizing of Green's function and Bergman kernel of the domain, the thermoelastic systems on bounded simply-connected domain Ω is decoupled. The decoupled temperature equation is studied by using the contractive mappling principle. Representation of solution of the field equation is obtained, and some solvability results are proved.

摘要:
In this paper we shall consider a first order semilinear initial value problem (IVP) when the evolution term in the differential equation is the generator of a strongly contionuous family of bounded linear operators in Banach space E. We shall first study existence, Uniqueness and estimation of mild solutions of the IVP when the nonlinearity of the differential equation is for Carathéodory type. By assuming that E is ordrered, we shall then derive existence and comparison results for extremal solutions the IVP in the case when the nonlinearity can be discontinuous in all its arguments. The obtained results are then applied to initial value problems of first and second order partial differential equations. No kind of compactness conditions are assumed.

We relate Virasoro (conformal) symmetries with a subsetof generators of the algebraand show their connection to the symmetries of [8] arising from Virasoro action on gauge operat tors . We a1so show explicitly their relation to the classical mastersymmetries of degree one (providing a new method of generating such mastersymmetries) and we establish connections with the impor tant operator. This leads to a Hamiltonian form for the Virasoro flows in a single potential context.
