摘要:
We analyze time dependent problems for the space and time nonhomogeneous linearized Boltzmann operator. It is shown that this operator generates in Lp1 ≤ p<∞, two parameter families of evolution operator's and its appropriately defined dual operator generates a similar family in a closed subspaee of L∞. We give estimates for the rate of growth of the evolution operators. It is show that the evolution operators are uniformaly bounded with an upper bound independent of time. In the case when the dependence of the Boltzmann operator upon space variables is nontrivial we obtain Improved estimates, namely, an exponential decay with time.

摘要:
We prove the convergence of a finite element discretization of the neutron transport equation. The iterative solution of the resulting linear system by a block Gauss-Seidel method is also analyzed. This procedure is shown to require less storage than the direct solution by Gaussian elimination, and an estimate for the rate of convergence is used to show that fewer arithmetic operations are required.

摘要:
After recalling a technique already exploited in stationary neutron transport, the dynamic linear monokinetic equation for general geometry is cast into an integro-differential form where a second order space Laplace operator and both a second and first time derivatives appear. The introduced unknowns are given a physical interpretation for plane geometry and their relations with the total flux and current are derived.

The time-dependent linear monoenergetic transport equation with linearly anisotropic scattering is considered in slab geometry With periodic boundary conditions. Adapting a result of Friedrichs, it is shown explicitly that the spectral theorem holds for the corresponding operator, for all but a set of zero measure in the space of parameters.
