摘要:
The dynamic decomposition model of Tillman and Lee is revised by using the principle of conservation of mass. This model is optimized for the control of the dynamic movement of air pollution. The optimal amount of different grades of fuel for each source in each region and the optimal purification levels for each source are obtained by linear programming. By using these optimal amounts of different grades of fuel and optimal purification levels, the total cost to maintain a certain air quality standard and maintain a desired energy level is minimized. The principle advantages of this approach are1.The dynamic aspects of air pollution are considered so that on‐line control of air quality can be considered.2.Because of the flexibility of the model and also because linear programming can be used to solve very large practical problems, the proposed approach appears to be a feasible one for the optimal on‐line control of air pollution of a large metropolitan area.

摘要:
By expanding the time functions into block pulse series, formulae for evaluating convolution integrals and correlation functions are derived. Using these formulae, convolution integrals, cross correlation functions and autocorrelation functions can be determined easily by simple arithmetic operations of the coefficients of the block pulse series without performing any integration. The results are sufficiently accurate.

摘要:
A new method which uses B‐spline theoretical approach in the design of a computer‐aided animation system is presented. The method is a combination of three aspects: the B‐spline theory and algorithms, the fuzzy set theory and interactive fuzzy programs, and software for static and dynamic graphics display. The basic technique employed is to generate whole set of the animated 2‐D shapes of a motion in which only the first and the last shapes are built by the animators, the rest are generated automatically. The benefits of this method are an instantaneous response and an immediate verification and editing of a dynamic motion being displayed. Illustrated examples are also given to reveal key features of the method.

摘要:
The effects of buoyancy forces on the laminar boundary layer flow and heat transfer along vertically moving cylinders are analyzed for the cases of prescribed surface temperature and prescribed wall heat flux in power of streamwise distance. Local similarity solutions are obtained to show the effects of buoyancy parameters and the transverse curvature of the cylinder on the surface friction and heat transfer rate.
