摘要:
Needle oils ofPinus heldreichiiChrist, produced from five different growth stages at two different locations in Serbia were examined for yield and composition during 1994. Although only ten components were identified in the oil, the main constituents were limonene (20.26–25.15%), germacrene D (42.6445.42%) and β-caryophyllene (10.58–13.32%). The richness of the oil in germacrene D has chemotaxonomic difference implications.

摘要:
The chemical composition ofSatureja montana, L. subsp.montana, andS. montana, subsp.variegata, (Host.) P.W. Ball, oils obtained from ten ecologically different locations in Croatia, Bosnia and Hercegovina were investigated by TLC and GC. The oil content varied from 0.66% to 1.47%. Substantial variations in relative concentrations of individual components were also noticed. The main component found in the oils was carvacrol (5.58–84.19%). The thymol content was quite low (0.45–2.84%) in most samples except for two, where it was significantly higher (8.01–13.61%). Cluster analysis and principal component analysis revealed the presence of four distinct chemotypes; however, the results obtained suggested that essential oil composition was not a useful chemotaxonomic character to partition betweenS. montana, subsp.montanasubsp.variegata.

摘要:
The essential oils obtained by steam distillation of the fruit peek of two different chemotypes ofCitrus medica, L. var.sarcodactylis, (Noot.) Swingle from Vietnamese origin were subjected to GC and GC/MS analyses. More than 40 compounds were identified, accounting for almost 99% of the oils. The major oil constituents of one chemotype were found to be limonene (48.4%) and p-cymene (33.7%), while the oil of the other chemotype contained predominantly limonene (55.5%) and γ-terpinene (22.5%).

摘要:
The effect of harvesting period on the oil production was examined on fiveEucalyptusspecies(E. camaldulensis, E. globulus, E. globulus ssp. maïdenii, E. melliodoraandE. bosistoana)of Moroccan origin. For some species such asE. camaldulensis, E. globulus and E. globulus ssp. maïdenii, the oil yield seemed to depend on the harvesting season. The period ranging from June to October gave the best yield with a maximum in June. The 1,8-cineole contentof Eucalyptusoil may also vary during the year. This was observed in the case ofE. globulusandE. melliodora, although the observed changes were rather random. The month for maximum 1,8-cineole content varied depending upon the species.

摘要:
The composition of the volatile leaf oils ofPersea podadeniagrown in the Sierra Madre Occidental, Mexico, are reported here for the first time. Out of 41 compounds separated, 34 were identified by GC and GC/MS. The major components were α-pinene(20%),δ-3-carene(16%), limonene(12%), myrcene(10%),α-terpinene(10%), camphene (9%),β-pinene(8%)and α-phellandrene(8%). We believe that its medicinal properties are due to the higher amounts of biologically active compounds like α-pinene, δ-3-carene and limonene.

摘要:
Three methods of mint propagation were compared, using six different cultivars and clonal selections ofMentha piperitaandMentha arvensisvar.piperascens.Propagation methods included autumn-planted rooted cuttings and autumn- and summer-planted rhizomes. All tested selections except one produced the highest yields of fresh herbage when propagated by rooted cuttings. Essential oil yields and menthol content varied among the tested selections based on method of propagation. However, it remains within the Bulgarian standards for respective cultivars.

摘要:
Drying tea tree leaf on the stem increased the oil content from 5.8% to 7.4% yield v/dw. This increase is not a result of changing moisture content but appears to be due to an active form of postharvest oil uptake or production. The value to oil producers of drying and storing leaf prior to distillation is a more efficient distillation system. At present, distillation occurs as close as possible to foliage harvest with the aim of reducing any chance of oil volatilization. These results show that the need for immediate distillation of cut foliage is unnecessary, as the delay would actually improve the yield rather than reduce it. For the industry these results could change the accepted methods of production. To date each producer had to have their own distillation plant as a way of avoiding distillation delays and the need for carting wet leaf material. Since drying leaves on the stems of the tree increases the oil yield and since the removal of leaves from the stem is easily accomplished when the leaves are dried, producers need only have storage and leaf stripping facilities. This would enable pure leaf to be transferred cheaply to a central distillery when a sufficient load is achieved.

摘要:
The leaf essential oil ofJuniperus squamata var. fargesiifrom Gansu, China has been analyzed by GC/MS. Although the oil was found to contain more than 80 constituents, it was dominated by α-pinene (17.7–20.9%), sabinene (7.9–13.7%) and β-thujone. The oil is also compared to the oil of J.squamatafrom India.

摘要:
Water-distilled essential oils from herbal parts ofSatureja spicigeracollected from five different localities in Turkey were analyzed by GC and GC/MS. Twenty-eight compounds representing 92.38–96.55% of the oils were characterized. Thymol (19.57–34.85%), p-cymene (9.13–34.08%), carvacrol (1.90–26.09%), methyl carvacrol (5.70–21.17%) and γ-terpinene (3.35–14.65%) were identified as major constituents. Dried leaves of this plant are used as condiment, as a substitute of thyme, and known as “Trabzon Kekigi” in northeastern part of Turkey neighboring Black Sea.
