摘要:
A steam-distilled essential oil first extracted with 1,1,2-tri-chloro-l,2,2-trifluorethane (CFC-113) from celery seeds(Apium graveolensL.) has been separated by distillation and column chromatography. It was then subjected to analysis with GC/MS and GC/FTIR. More than 50 compounds could be detected, 27 of which have been identified.

摘要:
A thin film evaporator may be a useful tool to concentrate orange oils under very mild conditions. The chemical composition of the folded oils depends on a skillful choice of the operation conditions. One of the advantages of the described method is the short-time contact of the oil with heated zones in the apparatus.

摘要:
The genetic component of the quantitative variation and the genetic potential for improving the sesquiterpene formation capacity in chamomile were examined. The results demonstrated that sufficient genetic variation exists with respect to the yield of essential oil and its key components chamazulene and α-bisabolol.

摘要:
ℓ-Menthyl-6′-O-acetyl-β-D-glucoside has been isolated and characterized as a new constituent of a leaf extract of “Wasenami,” a Japanese cultivar ofMentha arvensisL. var.piperascensMalinv. Its structure was confirmed by13C-NMR. β-Sitosteryl-β-D-glucoside and ℓ-menthyl-β-D-glucoside were also isolated and characterized along with the 6′-O-acetyl derivative.

摘要:
This paper concerns the reactions of menthone (I) with alkyl-amines and amino acids in the presence of sodium cyanoborohydride. The reaction of (I) with propylamine gave 3-propylamino-p-menthane (65% yield, cis/trans = 57:43). N-(2-Isopropyl-5-methylcylohexan-l-yl) glycine methyl-ester was obtained from (I) and glycine methylester.

摘要:
The fruits of Chinotto(Citrus aurantiumL. var.myrtifoliaGuill.) have been used in past times, as flavoring in foodstuff, sweets and drinks. The essential oil, obtained by steam distillation of the dried peel of Chinotto, was analyzed directly by GC and GC/MS. Fifty-one compounds were identified in the oil including limonene (80.1%), linalool (5.5%), linalyl acetate (0.8%), nootkatone (0.7%) and farnesol (0.5%).

摘要:
The essential oil ofLigusticum scoticumL. obtained after hydrodistillation, hydrodiffusion, or headspace techniques was analyzed by a combination of Kovats' indices, GC/MS, and13C-NMR. The major components identified were dill apiole (53–67%), myristicin (12–30%), and α-pinene (5–9%), except in headspace analysis where 75% of the mixture was α-pinene. Important factors influence the composition of this oil throughout the process of extraction(hydrodistillation or hydrodiffusion); the terpenic profile is also dependent upon flowering.

摘要:
The chemical composition of the leaf oilsof Juniperus excelsaobtained from trees growing in northern Greece and Kew gardens have been compared. The leaf oil from native (Greek) J.excelsais dominated by cedrol(28.1%), α-pinene (22.5%) and limonene (22.7%), with moderate amounts of δ-3-carene (2.3%), myrcene (1.9%) and two unidentified constituents. The oil from the cultivated juniper at Kew is also dominated by cedrol (40.0%) and α-pinene (46.2%), whereas limonene is small (1.3%). Sixty three of the 67 constituents have been identified.
