In this review the concept of integrated water resources management is developed in some detail through many aspects such as the need for, and type of, governmental involvement; institutional arrangements; judicial and economic policies; technical measures; the importance of socio‐economic considerations; and the need to consider the widest possible range of alternatives. Approaches to this type of water resources management in three western European countries, Canada, and the United States arc discussed.

Many fungi that grow in the ingredients of which foods and feeds are made, or in the finished products, can, under suitable conditions, produce compounds that are toxic when consumed. Among the more common and widely distributed fungi capable of producing toxins are species ofAspergillus(especiallyA. flavus), Pencillium,andFusarium;toxins produced byPithomyces chartarumandRhizoctonia leguminicolaon forage are responsible for specific disease syndromes in the animals that consume the forage.

The report traces the development of the understanding of radiation hazard, and the philosophy for protection against it. Special attention is given to the work of the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements (NCRP) and the International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP), form which two organizations most of the basic radiation protection philosphy and criteria in the world today has been generated.

Mechanical anto‐engine modifications in recent years have reduced exhaust emission levels, but further lowering of concentrations might be achieved by the application of catalytic devices. The objective of this survey has been to examine the effectiveness of current catalytic devices designed for auto‐exhaust control.
