摘要:
AbstractE. m. f.'s of the cell, H2(g,p atm)/HClO4(m1), NaClO4(m2)/HClO4(m1), Hg2(ClO4)2(m3)/Hg were measured at 20°, 25°, 30° and 35°C. The E° value is expressed as E° = 0.8915–5.14×10−4T+5.70×16−7T2. The free energy for the reaction, Hg2(aq)+H2(g)=2Hg(l)+2H+(aq) is given by ΔF°= −41,119+23.70T‐26.3×10−2T2. The thermodynamic quantities, ΔF° = −36,389, ΔH° = −38,782 cal mole−1and ΔS° = −8.03 cal deg−1mole−1are given for the reaction, and ΔFlo=36.39, ΔHfo=39.78 Kcal mole−1and S° = 13.82 cal deg−1mole

摘要:
AbstractThe close relationship between Raman spectroscopy and electronic spectroscopy is discussed in detail. It is found that information obtainable from these two fields are really complemental. Expressions for the contributions to the Raman scattering process from vibronic interactions and Condon effects are derived. The theoretical considerations are applied to calculate absolute Raman intensities of many diatomic molecules, to derive the selection rules of rotational Raman spectrum, and to interpret Raman spectra of organic crystals.

摘要:
AbstractA new technique which permits rapid and precise measurement of vapor pressure over dilute solutions was used here to investigate the intermolecular forces of acetone molecules in several inert organic solvents. In the dilute solution of acetone mole fraction less than 0.03, acetone dimers were found to be the main species in the solvents, cyclohexane and CCl4. And no associated species of acetone were found in benzene. The strength of dipole‐dipole interactions which stabilize the acetone dimer were found comparable to that of some hydrogen bonds and also greatly influenced by solvent

摘要:
AbstractPartial alkylation of methyldichlorosilane and methylphenyldichlorosilane gave three new monochlorosilanes. Hydrolysis of methylhexylchlorosilane, methylbutylphenylchlorosilane, and methylpentylphenylchlorosilane gave corresponding silanols and siloxanes. The silanols are unstable in the atomosphere and automatically changed to stable disiloxanes which are well proved.
