摘要:
Linear poly (ethylene glycol) (PEG) is able to complex with neutral molecular Iodine in the solution state and in solid state, to produce I−3ions detectable by conventional spectroscopy and by photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS). This behavior of PEG is another instance of its ability to mimic the complexation features of the macrocyclic polyether 18-crown-6.

摘要:
Atoms of several elements are produced when metal and certain silica refractory samples are heated in a flame. When concentrated HCL is then aspirated a signal enhancement occurs. The peak height of this signal can be used for the analysis of Mn and Cu in nails, Fe in brass and MgO in silica refractory. The technique is very matrix dependant and detection limits are poorer than for conventional atomic absorption.

摘要:
An NMR procedure is described for the quantitative determination of methylsalicylate as a drug entity and in wintergreen oil. For standard mixtures containing the pure drug a mean result of 99.9 ± 0.75% w/w was obtained. Analysis of a wintergreen oil sample for its contents of methyl-salicylate gave a mean result of 99.2 ± 0.17% w/w. The results are compared with those obtained using the official procedure.

摘要:
Excited state rate constants have been obtained for complexes of rhodamine B and tetrachloroanions of the group IIIA metals. The results were analyzed by comparison with a heavy atom effect model. Other interaction mechanisms were discussed as well as the suitability of this system for time resolved fluorescence analysis.

摘要:
The X-ray photoelectron spectra of M(N2)2(dppe)2, M(N2)2(PMePh2)4and M(N2)2(PMe2Ph)4; where M=W or Mo, Ph is phenyl, Me is methyl and dppe is (Ph)2P-CH2-CH2-P(Ph)2; have been investigated. The N(1s), P(2p3/2), Mo(3d5/2) and W(4f7/2) binding energies do not show significant differences between these complexes. The N(1s) signals show the separation of 1.3-1.4 eV.

摘要:
A rapid, accurate and precise PMR method is presented for the quantitative determination of codeine and codeine phosphate as bulk drugs and in tablet dosage form. The determination is based on the integration of the C-3 methylprotons or the two aromatic protons of codeine or its salt relative to that of the nine protons of t-butanol. Standard deviations of ± 1.39, 0.27 and 0.65% were obtained for codeine, codeine phosphate bulk drug and codeine phosphate tablets respectively. The method furnishes a specific means of identification of codeine as well as of the simultaneous detection and possible determination of morphine; thus fulfilling one of the most important pharmacopeial requirements for the purity of codeine.

摘要:
A PMR analytical procedure is described for the quantitation of isoniazid (4-pyridinecarboxylic acid hydrazide) as a drug entity and in tablets dosage form. The method is accurate and precise with a standard deviation of ± 1.51 and ± 1.34 in the bulk drug and in tablets respectively. The results obtained comply with the official standards required by different pharmacopeias. The PMR spectrum, in addition, provides a very specific mean for identification of isoniazid.

An analysis of the anticrossing of several magnetic hyperfine sublevels of the same fine structure level is made. An expression for the resonance fluorescence signal is derived. Physical requirements for observation are discussed and lineshapes computed.
