摘要:
Being different in America has nurtured a catastrophic sense of despair and powerlessness among the different. Counselors, hoping to be in some way helpful to the powerless, need to send out a message that shows a completely new kind of acceptance—an acceptance of a totally different life style and pace than most institutions accept. Counselors need to function in such a way that formerly degraded and powerless youngsters feel safe and free enough to find and express a personal, human, and uplifting sense of their own worth and powe

摘要:
Based on primary sources published in the Soviet Bloc, this article reviews orthodox Marxist theory, methodology, and practice. It compares the stated goals of Marxist guidance with actual outcomes, and identifies the foundations of guidance in the Soviet Bloc in terms of Marxist philosophy and social doctrine. The application of dialectic methodology to guidance is also explained. Current symptoms of ideological unrest in socialist society as exemplified by the now‐suppressed reform movement in Czechoslovakia are analyzed and its dynamics identified. Finally, the article draws conclusions applicable to guidance in this countr

摘要:
This article discusses the dilemma of the “noncounseling counselor,” and suggests that the counselor be relocated at an organizational base external to the school since there are factors inherent in many school systems which influence the counselor to compromise his counseling objectives. Removed from the school, the counselor might operate more effectively as an agent of a more comprehensive community organization such as a human development cen

摘要:
As man, in light of the population trend, faces larger numbers of people, his decisions are likely to suffer in quality; he will tend to disregard individualism more and more, and ultimately to reduce man to nothingness. This article explores some of the long‐term implications of such decisions and the professional responsibility for the results. A fresh look at the morality of decision‐making appears urgent. The issue is one of quantity versus quality in dealing with problems in human behav
