摘要:
An elegant algorithm for transforming a single-input, single-output, linear time-varying systems to the companion form and for constructing the transformation matrix is developed, in the light of the method proposed by Anderson and Luenberger (1967) for linear time-variant system. The proposed method is conceptually simpler than the previously published techniques (Silverman 1966, Ramaswami and Ramar 1969) and does not necessitate the use of a matrix inverse.

摘要:
A simple oscillator circuit, which uses 1 operational amplifier (OA), 4 resistors and 2 equal-valued grounded capacitors, is given. Conditions are obtained to minimize the effect of the finite gain of OA at high frequencies. Continuous tuning is possible over a large high frequency range with ganged capacitors or resistors. Capacitance (C)-multipliers are used to extend the lower frequency range of the oscillator. A typical design of a wideband oscillator (15 Hz to 100 kHz) is given. Experimental results are included, which support the theory.

摘要:
The paper describes a technique of the use of mode variables in the analysis of certain time-varying two-port networks. The mode variablesV1+, V1-, V2+, V2-are defined in such a manner that the actual voltage variablesV1andV2are given by the sum of the respective plus and minus components. It is found that under special circumstances, the use of mode variables enables the behaviour of the network to be described by two uncoupled equations, which can be reduced to Mathieu type of equations with the help of appropriate transformations.

摘要:
Transistor-resistor-coupled (TRC) device as a composite unit in common-base (CB) and common-collector (CC) configurations offers negative-differential-resistance characteristic. Analytical expressions are obtained for the negative-differential resistance (Rn), peak voltage (Vp), valley voltage (Vv) and peak current (Ip). The theoretical aspects of the expressions are discussed in relation to the experimental observations made on the device in both the configurations.

An experimental measurement of signal-to-noise ratio for rectangular-wave modulation confirms the theoretical signal-to-noise ratio expression. Jelonek's pulse-length modulation signal-to-noise ratio formula is also applicable to rectangular modulation.

摘要:
The decapsulation of silicone potted electronic assemblies is useful for failure analysis of the modular system and sub-systems This is suitably done by ultrasonic stirring of the electronic assembly in a mixture of trichloro-ethylene, carbon tetrachloride and ethylene di-chloride. This also does not affect most of the other polymers like polyethylene phenolics, epoxies, PVC and also metals which are used in assemblies of various circuits. Conformal coatings are removed faster than volumetric encapsulation. This is also useful for recovery and repair of modular systems, analysis of potted circuits, quality control and salvage of precious metals or components out of damaged assemblies.

Conventional astable multivibrator is modified to achieve voltage-controlled variable duty cycle in two different ways. Theoretical relations for the range of control voltage are derived. Practical results are given for one of the modified astable multivibrator circuits.
