摘要:
&NA;Community Health Information Networks are a method of connecting various organizations for the distribution and collection of health‐related data. They have been in existence for over 20 years, but have experienced a recent popularity due to advances in telecommunications and information technology, as well as, unrest with the health‐care system. CHINs are available in various sizes, locations, and forms.Community Health Information Networks can offer many benefits including reduced administrative costs, faster referral turn‐over, and fewer errors. To the public, CHINs can distribute community health information, offer public health statistics, and provide physician and provider information.
