摘要:
A flow microcalorimeter in the mixing mode has been employed to verify the possible application of calorimetric techniques in studying enzymatic reactions. In order to illustrate the optimum operative conditions, with special regard to chemical and instrumental factors affecting the reaction heat quantity, the urea enzymatic decomposition, which is a well studied reaction, was chosen.

摘要:
A simple and reliable method for determining the activity of carbonic anhydrase, in equilibrium conditions, is presented. The method is based on the linear variation of a pCO2probe electrode potential which follows the CO2evolution, a first order reaction. Different experimental conditions (geometry of the system, temperature, pH) are considered.

摘要:
A highly sensitive sandwich enzyme immunoassay (EIA) for human growth hormone (hGH) was developed. hGH to be assayed was incubated with an anti-hGH IgG-coated polystyrene ball, and then the polystyrene ball after washing was incubated with anti-hGH Fab1-peroxidase conjugate. Peroxidase activity bound to the polystyrene ball was correlated to the amount of hGH to be assayed. Polystyrene balls were coated by physical adsorption with rabbit anti-hGH IgG which was not affinity-purified. Rabbit anti-hGH Fab1which had been affinity-purified was coajugated with horseradish peroxidase using N-succinimidyl 4-(N-maleimidomethyl) cyclohexane-1-carboxylate.

摘要:
Captopril, a new anihypertensive agent, has been assayed in authenitic as well as in tablet (Capoten((R))Manufacture: Squibb and Sons, Inc., Princeton, N.J., U.S.A. dosage forms by applying potentiometric visual, argentometric and oxidometric methods of idoine and cupric ion. Each method of assay involves the determination of captopril in a given weight of sample. Six samples were run for each method and the average percentages of recovery of captopril from its tablets were computed. For the potentiometric and visual silver methods the average percentages of recovery are 103.3 ± 1.2 and 102.3 ± 1.0 respectively. For the oxidometic methods of iodine and cupric ion, the average percentages of recovery are 103.8 ± 1.5 and 104.2 ± 1.4 respectively.

摘要:
A thin layer-chromatographic method for the analysis of cyclophosphamide is described. The method involves the heating of the layer and the quantitation of the resulting fluorescent-U.V. absorbing derivative by densitometry.

摘要:
A simple, rapid and sensitive method for the analysis of dobutamine in equine arterial and venous plasmas was developed. After the addition of an internal standard samples were extracted using disposable, prepacked reverse phase colums. Samples were chromatographed at room temperature over a 15 cm 3 um C-18 column. Detection was by a glassy carbon electrode operated at 55 volts with respect to Ag/AgCl electrode. Using this method sensitivities of 100pg/ml (signal to noise; 3:1) were obtained. The applicability of the method is shown is anesthetized horses infused at 2.5, 5.0 and 0.5 μ/kg/ min.
