A low-cost, low-noise four-electrode galvanostat and three compartment cell for chronopotentiometric study of ion transport at liquid/liquid interfaces are presented. The cell eliminates liquid junctions and accompanying ion contamination. The galvanostat is a minimum design for 20 ma at 500 Ω load.
