摘要:

In a series of 6223 pregnancies, a study was made of factors related to uterine bleeding not followed immediately by termination of gestation. An increased occurrence of bleeding was found among Negroes, as compared to whites, and also among those of advancing maternal age and increasing parity. Multiparas who bled had a higher rate of abortions, stillbirths, and deaths of live born children during previous gestations. If 5 or more years had passed since the termination of the immediately preceding pregnancy, the likelihood of bleeding was also greater. Both birth weight and placental weight were decreased if bleeding had occurred, regardless of the week during which the pregnancy was terminated.
