Expressions found in nursing philosophy should have logical congruence, coherence, and continuity with expressions found in nursing research.Research paradigms guide and perpetuate nursing practice and the linguistic components of the paradigm should demonstrate contextual and syntactical parallelism with beliefs and values of the discipline. If the language of both represent conflictual ideologies, alternative paradigms should be explored and added to the research repertoire of nurses.
