The infrared spectra of CH3OH···O(CH3)2, CH3OD···O(CH3)2, C2H5OH···O(C2H5)2and C2H5OD···O(C2H5)2complexes trapped in argon matrices are reported. In dilute argon matrices the isolated 1:1 complexes of the type R2O···HOR and R2O···DOR were identified. The observed frequency shifts, Δν of the OH (OD) stretching vibrations show that the deuterium bonds are slightly stronger than the hydrogen bonds.
