Nine consumer nutrition and food safety trends, identified in 1995, have been revisited and updated to reflect the status of current consumer influencer activities. Major forces that influence the consumer nutrition environment have been closely scrutinized. Significant activities that have occurred in the last half of 1995 are put into perspective to anticipate what lies ahead for consumers in 1996.
