SummaryA surgically excised tumour from the thoracic wall of a hunter mare was diagnosed as a fibrosarcoma on histological examination. Its recurrence necessitated further surgery 6 weeks later. Because of the invasive nature of the lesion a prolonged course of chemotherapy was administered postoperatively. The tumour did not recur a second time.RésuméOn diagnostiqua par l'histologie qu'une tumeur excisée de la paroi thoracique d'une jument de selle était un fibrosarcome. On euf de nouveau recors à la chirurgie pour combattre une récidive six semaines plus tard. Dès lors, on appliqua un traitement chimiothérapique post‐opératoire.
