Integrating the frequently separate results of breast cancer pathology, ploidy, and receptor status into a single clear report can he difficult but is essential for proper treatment planning. Commonly overlooked errors in evaluating cumor size, ploidy, and recepror status are reviewed in actual examples from a referral practice. These errors led to significant misrepresentations, thereby compromising patient care and placing the responsible physicians at medicolegal risk.
