&NA;This study evaluated the impact of a one‐month management concept course on 80 senior baccalaureate nursing students. Findings revealed that leadership values held by nursing students did not affect their leadership behaviors. Nursing students who took the course demonstrated significantly more leadership behaviors and knowledge of leadership concepts than students who did not take the course. Reasons for the findings are discussed.
