摘要:

It is proposed that Bayes' Theorem be used to maintain an estimate of probability that each individual donor is a hepatitis carrier. It is suggested that there exists a critical probability, above which prospective donors should be rejected. Various factors in hepatitis epidemiology that complicate implementation are discussed.
