ZusammenfassungEs wurde über eine B. cereus‐Mastitis bei einem frischlaktierenden Rind berichtet. Mit dem isolierten Stamm wurden an einem Schaf und an einer Kuh intrazisternal Infektionsversuche durchgeführt. Die bei beiden Tieren erzeugten akuten Mastitiden mit erheblicher Beeinträchtigung des Allgemeinbefindens führten bei dem nicht behandelten Schaf am 4. Tag der Erkrankung zum Exitus, beim Rind bei einer 20 Stunden p. inf. einsetzenden Therapie zur Heilung bei Verlust der Milchsekretion auf dem erkrankten Euterviertel.SummaryBacillus cerus as a cause of bovine mastitis 1.
